Driven past - In Napoli - a million times - finally ending up at the large elliptical bar for "a business lunch" - before heading back across the GWB -
Immediately struck by the democratic mix of clientele - men in suits - construction workers finishing their shifts - communal gatherings in the back -
Very Italian - very substantial portions - everything fresh - nothing spectacular - you know that you're getting fed - an extended family wait staff and regular patrons - the warmth apparent as soon as you walk in the door -
Hard to remain a good boy with the menu - my host was "pushing" the "In Napoli Burger" - Cherry Peppers - Mushrooms - Onions - Mozzarella - 'cause some of us still have to work after lunch -
Settled on French Onion Soup (good) - Cesar Salad (huge) - Fried Calamari (perfect) -
Menu is inviting - begging full exploration with a return trip -
Enjoy -
by the by - Manhattan apartment dwellers take note - the parking lot is so tight - parking the car becomes part of the "In Napoli" dining experience -
